Since 1983, the Panthère de Cartier wristwatch has been one of the Maison’s iconic timepieces.
In 1983, Cartier created a women’s gold wristwatch whose square dial and case with softened contours were borrowed from the iconic Santos. Initially called the Santos D., it was renamed Panthère when the new model was launched the following year, featuring an unprecedented flexible bracelet of gold and steel.
With its ultra-flat, articulated bracelet and its quartz movement, the Panthère de Cartier wristwatch has embodied the essence of the jewelry watch since its creation. This energetic wristwatch is immediately recognizable from its articulated links and sophisticated look.

The emblematic Panthère de Cartier wristwatch made a noted comeback in 2018. The collection has been expanded with new models and takes the “jewelry-watch” aesthetic to new heights. For example, the bracelet has been doubled in length to wind multiple times around the wrist. In addition to yellow gold and steel, the collection features a rose-gold model, in solid or mixed versions, sometimes entirely paved with diamonds.
