Cartier cultivates its view of the world around it. With a passion for landscapes in all their diversity and an insatiable curiosity about civilizations past and present, the jeweler has incessantly explored the wild beauties of Africa, the magnificence of Pharaonic Egypt, and the legends of Asia and the Americas.
Since the beginning of the 2010s, new inspiration has come from a sixth continent—the international megapolis. From contemporary cities, the Maison has borrowed the architecture, the plays of shadows, the mixing and the frenzied speed, all concentrated in this vibrant bracelet.
The design traces a taut line, underscored with onyx, which undergoes a metamorphosis from one end to the other, from the square-shaped sapphire to the triangular-shaped diamond.
The composition’s energy also comes from the tiled structure, punctuated with calibrated colored sapphires, suggesting reflections of light against the glass façade of a skyscraper.
